It is so nice to go to a name giving ceremony and see some of the other children I named over the years. Most of them all grown up, young little princesses, feeling so big and responsible over their younger cousin.
It was a lovely afternoon name giving ceremony and a very special one for the family. As the parents and the young gorgeous girl flew in from NZ to celebrate this special occasion with the family. We easily communicated via emails to plan a happy meaningful name-giving ceremony.
We try to include some rituals in these naming ceremonies. It is a nice idea to sometimes include some of your family friends and guests at the ceremony. One of the nice naming day rituals is the rose petals one when we scatter coloured petals on the child’s head with lovely blessings.
