There are many rituals we can include in a name-giving ceremony. The rose petal ceremony is a really cute one. It is when we sprinkle coloured rose petals on the baby’s head representing different qualities and aspirations. It is lovely because this way you can include some friends or family members in the ceremony. There are usually four coloured petals, and each colour comes with different blessings. So this way you can include at least four members of your family or group of friends.
We had family and friends around and of course, the older sister who felt very special when she participated in this ritual. It is always nice to include older siblings in any ritual you might choose to incorporate in a naming ceremony.
