A lovely afternoon for a Naming Day Ceremony Celebrant Botany.

We welcomed this young little boy into the family and the community in a naming day ceremony.

As most of the family is back in the UK, we were surrounded by many loving and supporting family friends. They all gathered around the family offering support and help.
We nominated godparents, talked about their part in helping support the parents. And of course, we also talked about the grandparents far away but close in the heart. Some friends read some beautiful readings that meant so much to the parents.

The parents always receive from me a collection of readings and poems, many ideas and rituals. So we work together to personalize and create a beautiful meaningful naming ceremony.
