Name Day Celebrant
As a Name Day Celebrant serving all suburbs, it’s always a joy to create ceremonies that feel personal, warm, and deeply meaningful. This particular name day ceremony took place at the charming Boatshed in Chipping Norton, a peaceful and picturesque venue nestled beside Chipping Norton Lake. Known as a beautiful location for both weddings and naming ceremonies, the setting offered a calm, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly suited such a special family occasion.
The ceremony was held indoors, allowing the space to be transformed into something truly unique. With the help of close friends, the parents lovingly decorated the hall, filling it with thoughtful details, soft touches, and heartfelt symbolism that reflected their child and their values. The result was an intimate, joy-filled celebration where family and friends gathered to officially welcome their little one, share promises of love and guidance, and celebrate the beginning of a beautiful life journey together.
Rituals for A Name Day Ceremony
At each naming ceremony, we can include lots of rituals, or none. It is really up to you and your decision. I will advise you on a variety of rituals that we can include in the ceremony.
At this name day ceremony, the parents chose to include the rose petals ritual where we scatter coloured petals on the baby’s head with different blessings. This way you can include in the ceremony some of your family members and or friends.
Parents also chose to present the young baby a very special gift that they chose for him to have for the rest of his life. It was a beautiful classical pocket watch.
And then parents lit a candle with a special blessing as well as reading their own vows and promise to this gorgeous little boy.
